30th December
This morning we started off from the Motel at 8.30am after a hot breakfast and cruised along to the Big Banana. We stopped off there to have a browse - didn't stop for a tour but took some photo's and bought a few goodies.
Then we were on the road for Brisbane - well just north of Brisbane - Deception Bay to be exact. We were booked into a Bed & Breakfast for 3 nights and it was going to be nice to stay put for a few days!
We arrived early afternoon because we gained an hour with Queensland not having daylight savings! We all took a swim in the pool (was a bit cold til we got in) but was lovely all the same. The girls had a playground to enjoy as well. We went and did a little grocery shopping and got some tea as well. But heading into Brisbane we encountered the rain - and it rained later in the afternoon and it looked like it was there to stay!
