Johnson Holiday Day 27

21st January

Well this morning was a rough start to the day. Through the night had to put Ayla back into her bed and then later on in the night I rolled over to find that I was in fact sharing my bed with Ayla and John was in her bed. She decided in her wisdom to get in John's side of the bed on her 2nd attempt. From there on in I had a shocking nights sleep she was whinging, crying and sobbing in her sleep.

It was after 9am when I actually got myself out of bed and in the shower - thank goodness I had just about packed everything last night.

When we were at Rockhampton Ayla came out with all these little lumps on her arm and I thought that she had been bitten by something - they were still there on When we arrived at Lakes Entrance and this morning when I had a really good look at her they all have little blistery heads on them - so I am suspecting that she has Chickenpox.

We were packed up and ready to go just after 10am and checked out, but we only got as far as the front driveway when I realised that we had left a DVD in the DVD Player in the unit - so back we went and had a 2nd attempt at leaving.

On the way out of Lakes Entrance we stopped and had a bit of a look at the view. Boy would that have been a pretty sight if it had been a nice day. It was still overcast - but it wasn't raining. We had a few showers of rain on the way to Melbourne, but the closer we got to the city - the sunnier it became. I had the 2nd leg of the driving today - so I had the city to deal with - but it didn't turn out too bad.

We checked in at about 3.30ish and parked the car and headed up to our room - the kids were in their element - they had Nickelodeon channel with the cartoons.

We have a family room at the Novotel tonight with spa bath - but it wasn't as enjoyable as our spa at home because the plug didn't seal properly and the water was draining out as quickly as we put the water in.

The Room isn't too bad - but its starting to get a bit run down. Will have to wait and see what the pool is like in the morning when I take the girls swimming. Pool opens at 8am and I organised breakfast for 9.30am. We have a late check out for 12 noon and then we have the rest of the day to fill in before we head for the boat at about 6pm.

Had a bit of a chat on the phone to Bridget but unfortnuately because she's pregnant we can't catch up just in case Ayla does have chickenpox.
