12th January
We after a not too good night sleep our next destination is Mackay. The weather was a little nicer this morning and as we headed out via the local Kia Dealer to try and get a couple of new headsets for the kids in the Back. But we were out of luck.
The journey further south was pretty good. We only hit a bit of rain just north of Mackay and it wasn’t anything too bad – we managed to drive round the outside of the storm clouds.
We arrive at Mackay just before 3pm – so it was a good days travelling. Once we had unpacked the stuff we needed we went for a walk around the park, purchased some icecreams and went to find the playground. The kids played there for a while until we needed to head back and get things organised for tea! Veggies tonight with Sausages and kebabs! And boy did the kids enjoy them. So did John and I! The worst part was cleaning up afterwards.
This caravan park is a big improvement on last nights and would certainly recommend this one to everyone. It’s a Top Tourist park at Andergrove in MacKay. Well worth the stay. Zoe has gone to sleep tonight without too much hassle and Ayla is just packing up her colouring in stuff and hoping into bed herself. I am sure she’s not going to be far from sleep. She’s not arguing with me at all! Well I had better connect and publish this and call it a night myself. Another short journey tomorrow as we are only going to Rockhampton. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we will be able to spend the afternoon at the Botanical Gardens.
Hoping everyone is doing well at home and that you aren’t all working too hard.
