New Years Eve at Eaglehawk Neck...
We went down to Grandpa's for New Years Eve. Zoe crashed by about 8.30pm - but Ayla, Maighn and Maddison stayed up and headed off to be at about 12.30am.

Ayla and Zoe decided that they wanted to play the Playstation 2 downstairs today... So I put the Eye Toy on for them. It kept them amused for quite a while....
Christmas 2008
25th December 2008
The started off at 7am. I heard Ayla come out of her room and walk quietly down the hall. But the excitement of the fact that Santa had been was all too much - she came bounding back down the hall and up our stairs in a flash - she sounded like a heard of elephants. And when she yells at us that Santa has been - that was enough for Zoe to be up too and out to see what all the comotion was about.
Santa left them a bike each and filled their santa sacks. It wasn't til they decided to take their bikes outside that they found they had been left a trampoline too!
Gemma rang at about 7.20am thinking that giving out the parcels would be well and truely over - but it wasn't - so we had to open Gemma's presents while she was on the phone and we all loved our gifts.
After they had a bit of a play it was time to get dressed and out the door to Grandpa's for a coffee and a quick get together and then down to Nanny and Poppy's for breakfast. Ham on toast and Pancakes with raspberries and strawberries - YUM!
We stayed for a while before it was time to head home to get lunch organised! There were 19 for lunch and my idea of sending everyone home by 3pm and curling up for a nana nap didn't work - we were all having too much fun and everyone chatted with Grandma on the web cam before the present sharing!
After everyone left we sat down and watched Momma Mia and then sang the ABBA Sing Star!
What a big day!
Lauderdale Christmas Carols....
Tonight we headed down to Lauderdale Primary School to catch up with Leesa and the kids and Caralyn and Codi. It was a great night and the kids had a ball.
Ayla's End of Year Concert at Mount Stuart Primary
Ayla was a penguin in her end of year concert at school. Their short play was about Antarctica and they sang a song about all the antartic animals.
We made her a penguin out fit the night before and she thought it was wonderful!!!
Zoe's last swimming lesson for 2008
Zoe did a much better job at her swimming in the last term super session. Hopefully she will be more interested next year when we get back to it!
Tico Comes home...
Ayla was given a Rainbow Lorikeet for her birthday - but he was still too young and didn't have his feathers, so didn't come home til the end of November.
Ayla loves him to death and is very protective of him - even Dad isn't allowed to have a very long hold.
Day 2 at the V8 Supercars
23rd November
Today we go there a little bit earlier but there was already more people there. Our seats right by the fence were already gone - so we sat back a bit and stil had a good view. Well we did - t he kids struggled so we put them on our shoulders for the start of the race. The weather was nicer but the wind was still nasty. Sunscreen can protect you fron the sun but not the wind. Below are a few photo's taken when the drivers did their drive by. And a few links to short video clips that I took!!!
